Milan, Via Solferino 22, corner of Largo Treves, January 1911: Lino Pesaro, a pivotal figure of the most cultured Milanese and Italian collectors, started his business. At the same address, after more than a hundred years, the new Bisazza Flagship Store opens.
The design pays homage to this charismatic figure and the painting “Rissa in Galleria”, preserved in the nearby Pinacoteca di Brera. Within the new single-brand space, colours play a key role: cobalt blue blending with magenta red and emerald green, all irradiated by golden yellow. The choice of colours and the presence of the three golden pillars draw inspiration directly from the painting and convey all the ferment and energy of the scene set in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.
The colours on the walls influence the choice of textiles and precious marble tops, illuminated by large custom-designed chandeliers. Four large suspended mirrors, placed in the central hall, double the already considerable height of the rooms, creating an unexpected vertical perspective. A sort of baroque machine.
Inside the new Flagship Store there is an unexpected and luxuriant garden where flowers are reinterpreted in mosaic: new decorations designed by Carlo Dal Bianco that speak of colour, beauty, spring, inspired by the harmony and allure of Italian and French gardens.
